Brand Identity & Packaging Design

Creating the identity for the first North Wales whisky distillery in over 100 years.

The new Aber Falls distillery needed a visual identity creating that felt modern yet established and also evoked the famous waterfalls from which their name derived.

The final design system features a stylised celtic knot, used as a secondary brand element on the packaging and bottle designs, harking back to the cultural heritage of North Wales.

The brand identity incorporated the internal decoration of the visitor's centre as well as staff clothing and the merchandise available in the distillery shop.

Art direction for social posts was defined in the style guide and a series of cocktail making videos were shot in-house.
